Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/2-1 cup dill pickles
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1-2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Shredded lettuce, optional for serving
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp relish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Prepare the ground beef. in a pan over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and break apart into small pieces with the end of a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until brown and no longer pink.
  3. Add diced onion to the ground beef and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Drain any excess grease from the meat and set aside.
  5. Prepare the sauce. In a small Rubbermaid TakeAlongs Container, combine mayo, ketchup, mustard, and relish.
  6. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and add the bottom half to a baking sheet.
  7. Spread the sauce to the bottom layer of the bread. Top with the ground beef mixture. Lay the cheese on the ground beef and top with pickles.
  8. Add the tops of the rolls to the burgers. Brush with melted butter and garnish with sesame seeds.
  9. Place them in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
  10. Once cooked, remove from the oven and add shredded lettuce.
  11. Serve warm, slice, and enjoy!
