Greek Spaghetti

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- fresh parsley, for garish
- spaghetti of choice (I used Banza)
Instructions
- heat oil in a large skillet or dutch oven over medium-high heat, add the turkey and break apart with a wooden spoon or spatula. cook until the meat is no longer pink and cooked through.
- once cooked, turn the heat to medium-low and add about 1 tbsp olive oil, diced onion, and garlic. sauté for 3-5 minutes.
- add the tomato paste and water. season with salt, pepper, and cinnamon. stir to combine and turn the heat to low. bring to a simmer and cover to cook for 10 minutes.
- serve over spaghetti or spaghetti squash with fresh parsley.
