20 Minute Beef Fajitas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 large red or yellow onion
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • cilantro, to garnish
  • siete tortillas

Instructions

  1. slice the raw beef into long thin strips. 
  2. cut the bell pepper and onion into long slices. 
  3. prepare your seasoning mixture by combining 2 tbsp cumin, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil, and begin sauteing the peppers and onions. cook for 3-4 minutes.
  5. add the beef and seasoning. *NOTE: the more you use the spicier it will be* cook until the beef is to your liking. around 5 minutes.
  6. serve family-style with fresh cilantro. enjoy on a tortilla with sour cream, salsa, guacamole!
