Ingredients
- 2 bone-in pork chops
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp oregano
- salt, to taste
- fresh cracked pepper
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup nut pods original oat creamer
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup couscous
- fresh parsley, for garish (optional)
Instructions
- season the pork chop. drizzle olive oil on top and bottom of the meat (a little goes a long way, about 1-2 tsp of olive oil per pork chop).
- in a small bowl combine, salt, pepper, oregano, rosemary, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- stir to combine and generously season each piece of meat.
- in a large cast-iron skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat, drizzle about 1 tbsp olive oil on the pan, and sear the pork chop.
- cook on each side for 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature is 145 degrees.
- once the meat is finished cooking, squeeze fresh lemon over the top.
- prepare the couscous according to the package. once it is finished cooking but still hot, add the nut pods, parmesan cheese, salt, and fresh cracked pepper.
- stir to combine until cheese is melted and it becomes creamy and the consistency thickens.
- serve the pork chop over the couscous with fresh parsley, extra lemon juice, and freshly shaved parmesan.
