Honey Ginger Skirt Steak
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb. skirt steak
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 2 inch fresh grated ginger
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp hot honey
- 4 green onions, diced
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- cilantro, for garnish
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- salted peanuts, for garnish
Instructions
- in a bowl, combine coconut aminos, hot honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and green onion.
- season the steak with about 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil and season with salt and pepper.
- place the seasoned steak in a ziplock bag or bowl and add the marinade to cover the meat.
- place in the fridge to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steak and cook on each side for 2-3 minutes. (internal temp of 125-130 degrees for medium rare)
- serve with chopped peanuts and cilantro.
