Honey Ginger Skirt Steak

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb. skirt steak
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • 2 inch fresh grated ginger
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp hot honey
  • 4 green onions, diced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • cilantro, for garnish
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • salted peanuts, for garnish

Instructions

  1. in a bowl, combine coconut aminos, hot honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and green onion.
  2. season the steak with about 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. place the seasoned steak in a ziplock bag or bowl and add the marinade to cover the meat.
  4. place in the fridge to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  5. in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steak and cook on each side for 2-3 minutes. (internal temp of 125-130 degrees for medium rare)
  6. serve with chopped peanuts and cilantro.
