In a large bowl mix together the thawed hashbrowns, sour cream, cream of chicken, and cheese. Season well with salt and pepper.
Spread in a large baking dish. If prepping ahead of time, cover and place it in the fridge until ready to bake.
When ready to bake, melt butter in a bowl and toss the corn flakes in the melted butter. Spread the buttered corn flakes on top of the casserole.
Bake at 350 for one hour uncovered.
Serve warm & enjoy!
Note: if prepping ahead of time, place the cool casserole dish in a cold oven and let the dish preheat with the oven. Once the oven reaches 350, you will still bake for 1 hour.
