Three Cheese Bacon Mac & Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of sugar-free bacon
  • 2 tbsp of ghee or butter
  • 2 tbsp arrowroot flour
  • 1 cup of nut pods
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup of shredded gouda cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt, to taste
  • cracked pepper, to taste (I like a lot)
  • 2 boxes of banza pasta
  • whisps parmesan cheese crisps

Instructions

  1. Cut the bacon in small pieces (I used scissors).
  2. Once cut, cook bacon bits then drain the grease.
  3. In the same pot, melt the ghee and stir to combine.
  4. Add the flour and slowly pour in the nut pods, constantly whisking as your pour.
  5. Slowly add in the cheese.
  6. Once the cheese begins to melt, slowly add in the chicken broth. continue to stir.
  7. Add the seasoning and mix to combine.
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the pot and stir to combine.
  9. Pour in a baking dish (I used a 10″ x 8″) and top with crumbled cheese crisps.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes on 350.
